Cobra IS, a subsidiary of France’s Vinci, and Spain’s Sener, has obtained the contract to construct Germany’s first liquefied pure fuel (LNG) regasification terminal.
The engineering, procurement, and development (EPC) contract has been awarded by German LNG Terminal.
Underneath the contract, the consortium will construct the LNG regasification terminal within the German city of Brunsbüttel.
The terminal, to be positioned at Brunsbuettel on the mouth of the Elbe on the North Sea, could be geared up with auxiliary working methods, infrastructure, and buildings.
The regasification plant will encompass two 165,000m³ storage tanks.
The terminal could have an preliminary manufacturing capability of eight billion cubic metres of pure fuel per yr. This capability will be expanded to not less than ten billion cubic metres of pure fuel per yr.
The terminal will comprise two jetties, storage tanks, unloading arms, methods for regasification and fuel emission, a Boil-off Gasoline (BOG) restoration system, a flare stack, and auxiliary methods, amongst others.
The terminal will facilitate the loading and unloading of LNG imported by sea, adopted by regasification and injection into the German pure fuel grid.
The contract contains the primary part of preliminary work that’s deliberate to final for 9 to fifteen months.
The LNG terminal set up is scheduled for completion in 2026, following a development interval of 42 months.
