Associates of QatarEnergy and Shell have signed two long-term LNG sale and buy agreements (SPAs) for the availability of as much as 3.5 million tpy of LNG from Qatar to the Netherlands.
Pursuant to the SPAs, the LNG will likely be delivered to Gate LNG terminal situated within the port of Rotterdam beginning in 2026 for a time period of 27 years.
The LNG volumes will likely be sourced from the 2 joint ventures between QatarEnergy and Shell that maintain pursuits in Qatar’s North Area East (NFE) and North subject South (NFS) enlargement initiatives.
The SPAs have been signed by Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi, the Minister of State for Vitality Affairs, the President and CEO of QatarEnergy, and Wael Sawan, the CEO of Shell, at a particular occasion held in Doha within the presence of senior executives from each firms.
