The US accounted for many of the long-term LNG contracts signed in 2022

Globally, North America accounted for many of the long-term liquefied pure fuel (LNG) contracts signed in 2022 for the export of LNG, whereas the Former Soviet Union accounted for the remainder.

In North America, many of the contracts signed for exports of LNG are from the US, whereas Mexico accounted for 2 contracts. Within the US, the largest contract was signed by Vitality Switch Companions to provide 2.1mtpa of LNG from 2026 to 2046 to Royal Dutch Shell.

Mexico Pacific Restricted signed the largest contract for the export of LNG from Mexico. The corporate will provide 2.6mtpa of LNG from 2026 to 2045 to Royal Dutch Shell. Mexico Pacific Restricted will provide LNG from the Sonora liquefaction terminal.

Within the Former Soviet Union, two contracts have been signed for exports of LNG from Russia. OAO Novatek firm signed each contracts for the provision of 1.0mtpa and 0.6mtpa of LNG to Zhejiang Provincial Vitality Group Firm (China) and ENN Vitality Holdings (China), respectively.
