Associates of QatarEnergy and TotalEnergies have signed two long-term LNG sale and buy agreements (SPAs) for the provision of as much as 3.5 million tpy of LNG from Qa-tar to France.
Pursuant to the SPAs, LNG shall be delivered ex-ship to the Fos Cavaou LNG receiving terminal in southern France, with deliveries anticipated to begin in 2026 for a time period of 27 years.
The LNG volumes shall be sourced from the 2 joint ventures between QatarEnergy and TotalEnergies that maintain pursuits in Qatar’s North Subject East (NFE) and North area South (NFS) initiatives.
The SPAs have been signed by Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi, the Minister of State for Vitality Affairs, the President and CEO of QatarEnergy, and Patrick Pouyanné, the Chairman and CEO of TotalEnergies, at a particular occasion held in Doha within the presence of senior executives from each corporations.
