Deepwater Corcovado and Deepwater Orion have been tapped for work offshore Brazil with Petrobras.
Deepwater Corcovado was awarded a four-year contract, which contributes an estimated US$583M in backlog and is anticipated to start in Q3 2023 in direct continuation of the rig’s present contract with Petrobras which has employed the rig since December 2019.
Deepwater Orion was awarded a three-year contract, which contributes an estimated US$456M in backlog and is anticipated to begin in This autumn 2023. The rig is at the moment idle in keeping with Transocean’s newest fleet standing report.
Collectively the 2 contracts add roughly US$1Bn in agency backlog.
