Gasunie takes subsequent step for Brunsbüttel LNG terminal

Advancing Germany’s efforts to cut back reliance on Russian pure fuel, Gasunie has taken growth of its liquefied pure fuel (LNG) terminal in Brunsbüttel to the following stage after signing contracts with its preliminary prospects.

Developed by way of Gasunie’s subsidiary German LNG, the terminal could have an annual throughput capability of not less than 8bcma (billion cubic metres every year), with the potential to extend to 10bcma.

Preliminary provide contracts have been signed with ConocoPhillips, INEOS and RWE Provide & Buying and selling, coinciding with the launch of the terminal’s licensing process.
