The Finnish Hamina terminal has began its industrial operations following completion of its cooldown process and techniques and tools testing.

A three way partnership between Finnish firm Hamina Vitality, Wärtsilä, and Estonian power agency Alexela, the terminal supplies liquefied pure gasoline (LNG) storage providers with a storage capability of 30,000m³.

Having began supplying pure gasoline to the grid on 6^th October, the terminal additionally supplies regasification and injection providers into the Finnish gasoline transmission community with a day by day capability of 4,800MWh (megawatt hours).

Marking Finland’s first ever LNG import terminal related to the transmission community, the present capability permits for round 1.7 TWh (terawatt hours) of pure gasoline to be injected from the terminal into the community yearly, based on the operator.
